Crazy Tokyo Tour
Crazy Tokyo Tour (6 hours)
This tour will show you the more hysteric side of modern Japan, let’s check out the Crazy Tokyo tour itinerary!
We will start in a theme cafe in Akihabara, where we will visit one of the famous maid cafés where waitresses dressed up as French housemaids (or bunnies, or schoolgirls, or train attendants if you prefer that) will offer you your drink, blessed with magic to make it that much more delicious.
Youthful Harajuku & Shibuya
Then we’re off to Harajuku, where Japan’s hippest fashionistas are strutting their stuff. Besides the plethora of funky stores, you will have the opportunity to try 2 of young Japan’s favorite pastimes. If you are hungry you have your delicious sushi delivered by a speedy food train or get served ramen noodles from behind an anonymous counter. After the maze of ‘lolita’ and ‘goth’ fashion shops, we will enter the hustle and bustle of Shibuya, one of Tokyo’s busiest districts and one of the main entertainment districts of Tokyo’s teens and 20-somethings.
This is where young Tokyo goes out for shopping, dining, drinking, and clubbing. And at night for a quick ‘rest’ with their lovers at one of the many love hotels on ‘love hotel hill’ which we will also pay a visit. A trip to Shibuya is not complete without experiencing Shibuya’s ‘scramble crossing’, one of the busiest crossings in the world (of course with an opportunity for pictures).
Nerdy Nakano & Frenetic Shinjuku
Your guide will then take you to true nerd heaven in suburb Nakano, where they will explain Tokyo’s subcultures in more detail while showing you around an interesting mall where time seems to have stopped somewhere around the 90s.
Finally, our last stop is Shinjuku, maybe the most modern of Tokyo’s districts. Filled with entertainment of all kinds, shopping, dining, gambling, and a myriad of seedy parlors, this is where Tokyo’s salarymen come to play after dark. Your guide will drop you off at a nice area for tiny restaurants or at the station.
